School Improvement
The following is a form I presented to all staff as part of my involvement in School Improvement at Northeast High School. This form was used at the end of the semester to reconnect to appraisal goals and refocus staff efforts for second semester. This represents Strategic Leadership by showing how all efforts are intended to achieve a common goal. These forms were posted in classrooms throughout the school year.
The following is an agenda for a SIP Committee Meeting at Pershing Elementary I helped co-create and lead.
The following contains the cover page for the meeting notes from the Measurable Objective Review & Recommendations Sub-Committee of School Improvement at Northeast High School. When the sub-committee meets, meetings notes, decisions, and actions are recorded and updated. This shows Strategic Leadership providing an ongoing assessment of programs, plans, and processes. These meeting notes serve as an idea board that will continue to be utilized to implement new innovations in the school.
Special Education
This following is an informal evaluation I completed for a teacher I appraised while at Northeast. This artifact shows Instructional Leadership through the use of an instructional program aimed at improving student learning and promoting teacher growth. Informal evaluations are typically ten to twenty minutes and provide the appraiser a snapshot of that teacher’s pedagogy. The feedback given allows the teacher to analyze his or her own teaching approach.
The following artifact contains notes in regards to Domain 1 - Planning and Preparation that I took during a formal evaluation of a teacher I appraised while at Northeast High School. This artifact is a representation of Instructional Leadership by promoting effective teaching and developing strategies for future use. These evaluations are from an entire class period in which I focused on the teacher and their ability to show domain components and indicators.
MTSS-B
The following artifact is a form that was created by the Living Above the Line Sub-Committee of PBIS while I was at Northeast High School. The Living Above the Line process and this form exemplify Community / Political Leadership through the collaboration with community members and district personnel. Through the use of multiple resources and perspectives, we are able to identify deserving students for exceptional acts of character, consistent positive behavior, and improvement over time.
The following artifact is a spreadsheet we use at Pershing Elementary to track Check-In/Check-Out progress of students and use to make decisions on layering up and layering down Tier 2 Supports. The color-coding used indicates supports that are currently in place for a student.
The following is a powerpoint I created to promote an idea I had to acknowledge the great work being done by staff at Northeast High School. Organizational Leadership is shown by encouraging participation in activities outside of the classroom. This process received a great response from the staff. It was great to show others the appreciation staff has for their efforts in the school.
