About Me
I grew up in Fremont, Nebraska with three older brothers (Robert, Dan, Rick). Our parents (Dan and Cheryl) enrolled us at Washington Elementary before we attended Archbishop Bergan Catholic for Junior High and High School. Upon graduation, I continued my education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Sciences and received my Nebraska Initial Teaching Certificate for Special Education (Mild/Moderate 7-12). During my time in college, I served as assistant wrestling coach at Lincoln Pius X. I continued coaching at Pius after receiving my first teaching position at Lincoln Northeast High School. In the winter of 2012, I stepped down from that position after seven years of coaching in order to focus more on teaching. After a year away from coaching, I accepted the same position at Northeast and served in that role for two years. In 2015, I accepted the position of Special Education Coordinator at Northeast High School after four years of teaching. I spent two years in that role, which was my first experience in educational leadership. I graduated with my Masters from Doane College in Educational Leadership and also got married to my incredibly supportive wife, Becca, in May 2016. After that, I made a move to the elementary level. In 2017, I was lucky enough to be chosen as a coordinator at Pershing Elementary. That position then became an Assistant Principal position, and I was selected to continue in that position. I am currently in my fifth year as an administrator at Pershing and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students, families, and staff. In 2019, my wife and I welcomed out first child, Casper, to our family. We are expecting our second child this spring. We have been so blessed to be able to grow our family and get to experience all that is the journey of parenthood. Both professionally and personally, I look forward to the future and the many opportunities that I will be presented.
